- Pain Perdu Loaf
- Crème Brûlée Mix
- 2–3 tablespoons butter, for melting in your pan
Cut the Pain Perdu loaf into desired slices. Pour the crème brûlée batter into a shallow plate and soak the slices of bread for 15 to 20 seconds, turning once.
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until nicely browned. Transfer to a plate and serve with maple syrup and/or any of your favorite toppings.
Baker’s Tip: You can also sprinkle with powdered sugar to garnish before serving.
