Marie’s mom, Joanie made these cookies when Marie and her brother Tom were growing up. They are our family favorite and soon to be yours. Enjoy!
Makes 5-6 dozen
Ingredients:
- 1 c unsalted butter softened
- 2 c brown sugar firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ½ c flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp water
- 3 c quick cooking oats
- 1 c chopped nuts
- 1 package chocolate chips
- Smoked sea salt
Method:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend the butter, brown sugar, vanilla, water and eggs.
Measure all dry ingredients into bowl and add to the butter and sugar mixture until well blended.
Drop by heaping teaspoon onto un-greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
After cookies are ready, remove from the oven, sprinkle with a crumble of smoked sea salt. Allow to cool on cooling rack
